More horrendous news...

My sweet baby Amira passed away early this morning. She was the sweetest, most gentle, funniest bird I've ever had the pleasure of caring for.

This is a momentous loss.

Today is a very sad day indeed. I was informed by Jess this morning that a close friend of ours -- Jesse P. -- that we've known since our mid-teens died today.

Unbelievably enough, the autopsy revealed that Jesse had heart disease, and ultimately this caused his death. He was only 31.

Absolutely unreal.
